Project Cost Control (Senior)
Job Details
Develop and maintain project budgets/baselines, short- and long-term forecasts, and expenditure plans for assigned project(s) and/or program(s). This includes the aggregation, reconciliation, variance explanation, and update to the budget(s), forecast(s) and spending plan(s) according to jurisdiction splits, asset types, cost drivers, and funding sources.
Perform routine and ad-hoc research, updates, and data gathering/analysis in areas of cost controls (e.g. budget, actual, commitment, contingency). Prepare and present results, alternatives, insights, and/or recommendations to support business decisions, to manage project costs and schedules, and to mitigate potential risks to assigned projects and/or programs.
Prepare project controls data request responses and work papers in supporting corporate/OU governance, internal/external audits, General Rate Cases, and any pertinent regulatory filings.
Requirements
7 years of experience in project cost control; hands-on experience with large projects (cost)
Adept with Excel and Access Database
Effective communicator; able to speak with many different levels of management
Able to fly solo in meetings
SAP knowledge
Attitude and willingness to learn
Large Utilities background is a plus (Transmission, Substation, Distribution)
Education
Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
